|Rescue Me ID: 17-07-21-00192Toby (male)|
Toby is a great adult male dog. He loves walks and being brushed. He will let his hair fly in the wind when taking care rides. He is totally house trained, doesn't get on furniture, and knows how to sit and shake. I took Tobey n as a rescue, his original owner ended up becoming very ill and had to go into hospice with dementia. I took on a new breed of dog that I know nothing about. He's been with me for about 4 months seems to have adjusted great is a very sweet and nice dog. Now here comes the however. Toby does not appear to have ever been told no. He is a wonderful dog as long as he gets his way. For example he jumped up on my bed I told him to get down I told him know when I attempted to grab him by the collar and make him get off the bed he tried to snap at me. He wants to be around people all the time when they are in the home. Nothing wrong with that of course, however I have a daycare in home with several small children. He loves the kids gets along great with them, however, when he goes downstairs and I want him to come upstairs because the kids are leaving and parents are going in and out and I don't want to buy the door, he refuses to go back upstairs. If I tried to grab him by the collar or push him anyway he snarls and growls at me and intimidates me a lot. He needs a new home. I do not want to take him to the pound, I'm scared to put him to sleep. He is such a sweet dog loves to snuggle loves to be held loves to be with people. He just needs some sort of training to keep him from having temper tantrums. (Less)

Bearded Collie Dogs can make good pets in Kansas if they match your IifestyIe. The Bearded Collie, or Beardie, as they are affectionately nicknamed, is a medium sized, happy pooch. Beardies are wonderful for households with children. Bearded Collies do not make good guard dogs. Beardies respond well to training but they have a mind of their own. Bearded Collies are very sociable and need to be with people. Beardies are natural herders who don't mind various weather conditions. They make great outside dogs and are best suited to farms or homes with a good sized yard.
